History
Founded in 1941, Ozark Adventist Academy is a small Christian school located in Gentry Arkansas. There are over 150 students enrolled in the freshmen through senior class. All students work to help pay for tuition and have spending money. Ozark Adventist Academy offers a unique work study program that has a dual purpose. First, it provides each student the opportunity to help pay for a Christian education that might otherwise be out of reach and secondly, it teaches students good work ethics and prepares them to enter a broader work force after high school. To help students accomplish this we have developed Ozark Academy Industries (OAI). OAI allows students to work a maximum of 20 hours per week around their school and activity schedules. Students are paid bi-weekly with a part of their earnings being credited to their tuition and part being available for personal use. Since 1984 students have generated in excess of ten million dollars working at Ozark Academy Industries.

Providing Labor Solutions for Local Business
We can sort, label and box your items at our 20,000 square foot warehouse. Our facility is tractor trailer compatible with docks and forklifts. We can arrange to pick up and deliver your products for an additional fee. In an effort to monitor students for production rate and quality, there is an adult supervisor assigned to every 12 students. We have the ability to work year round and evening work is an option if needed. Currently we are doing work for McKee Foods and DaySpring greeting cards.
"Students from Ozark Academy have played a key role in improving the quality and value position of Little Debbie brand snacks for the past 20 years. When cardboard prices were high, the OAI students reduced our packaging costs by helping recycle our cardboard. OAI continues to listen and show their flexibility to meet customer needs. I appreciate that when possible, OAI uses piece rate pay for their services allowing the students to learn that the harder they work the more money they make--an important life lesson. It's great to be a part of this real world education."
