Who May Attend
Ozark Adventist Academy admits students of any gender, race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship programs, or any other school-administered program. We are authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant students.
Ozark Adventist Academy has been established primarily for the youth of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Students who come from a non-Seventh-day Adventist background may be accepted if space is available and if they agree to live by Ozark’s mission statement and our policies. Non-Adventist students will receive an orientation to Seventh-day Adventism so that they may have a better understanding of Ozark’s uniqueness as a Seventh-day Adventist educational institution. Ozark is not equipped to meet the needs of students with serious behavioral or academic problems. We would suggest that those students seek educational institutions that are able to meet those needs.
Students are expected to live in the residence hall if their parents or legal guardians do not reside in the local community. Any exception to this must be by request to the Administrative Council and approval by the Board.
Admission Procedure
Students are asked to read carefully the information contained in the school handbook. If, after doing so, a student decides that he/she wants the character-building Christian education that Ozark offers and that he/she will support and abide by its standards and regulations, he/she should apply for admission by:
1. Asking for an Admissions Application packet from the Recruitment Office. If summer work is desired, a Summer Work Application should also be requested.
2. Completing all parts of the application packet. It is very important that the Statement of Intent is completed. An application will not be accepted without the completion of this section.
3. Sending the completed application including supplementary documents as requested, to:
Registrar’s Office
Ozark Adventist Academy
20997 Dawn Hill East Road
Gentry, AR 72734.
All requested documents must be included. An application cannot be processed until all documents are in place.
After the above documents have been received, the Admissions Committee will review the application. If accepted, students will receive a letter of acceptance from the Registrar’s Office. Summer Work Applications are to accompany the Admissions Application for students who wish to work during the summer. Work applications are available at the Business Office.
