Yearbooks ArriveThe 2008 edition of Ozark's yearbook, the Flintonian, was handed out this evening. Thank you Melissa L. and all the yearbook staff for a great job.
Congratulations to Mrs. Vunileva for this year's yearbook dedication.
DedicationMrs. Toakase Vunileva
"She brings so much to our school. She gives all that she has. She has made Ozark her own and it is a part of her and she is a huge part of Ozark." "She has made Ozark feel like a very spiritual school to me. She is one of the reasons that Ozark is the place that it is. Also, she always has a plan and knows what to do." "Mrs. Vunileva is the glue that keeps this place together. She is always there for you and no matter how busy she is, she will drop everything to help you."

Senior Class TripThe senior class will enjoy looking back with fond memories on their class trip. Their expedition began with several days of volunteer work in Holbrook, AZ, followed by a guided visit to the Grand Canyon from Southwestern Adventist University Professor Dr. Chadwick, worshipping at a Tongan church, attending a LA Dodgers baseball game, and of course seeing Disneyland.

Community Service DaySunday morning found Ozark students bundling up to stay warm in preparation for Community Service Day. While the Senior class was gone doing service in Arizona during their class trip and the Junior class preparing for Jr/Sr banquet, the Sophomore and Freshmen classes headed to either downtown Gentry, or Highway 412 to pick up trash.
Shuttle Bus Update Ozark has leased the shuttle bus for 30 days which we hope to purchase. With only a few thousand dollars yet to raise, thank you to all who have contributed and to those still planning on donating. If the needed funds come in on time, we won't have to return the bus at the end of the 30 days. All but $1000 of the lease price will apply toward purchase price.
To date over $87,000 dollars have been raised or pledged towards the purchase of a new 40+ passenger shuttle bus. The Senior and Junior classes are leading the way in giving. Your support will help make this important project happen.
Physics Bridge ProjectOzark's physics class had their annual bridge testing today. From initial computer design, through planning and construction, many hours of work were on display today.
Academy DaysProspective students descended upon Ozark this weekend to preview the school. Friday evening the Boys' Club put on vespers. Their theme was "Putting on the Armor of God."
Sabbath morning featured students and the activities they were involved with at school followed by church service which included a sermon by three of Ozark's seniors.
Sabbath afternoon was enjoyed at Natural Falls state park in beautiful spring weather. Saturday night began with a game-show contest among Academy Days visitors and concluded with a gymnastics performance from Ozark's Airealaires.
Sunday morning was spent touring different departments and experiencing different activities available to Ozark students. The morning ended with awarding scholarships to Academy Days participants.
We hope you all had a spiritual and fun weekend and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Brain GamesSeven of Ozark's scholars traveled to Southwestern Adventist University to participate in the fifth annual Brain Games. This year's topic was "Emergency Medicine". Saturday night the weekend of learning is capped off with a "Math Bowl" competition. With last year's Ozark participants coming away with second place and $750 for the Math/Science department, this year's group had their goal in site. In the final round Ozark competed against Campion Academy's team. After very close competition Ozark came in second but was awarded $1000 along with the winner. Congratulations team!
