Student Aid Donations

Dear Alumni Family and Faithful Supporters:
The 2007-2008 school year is off to a positive start. 155 students are currently enrolled and receiving the benefits of the Christ centered education being provided at Ozark Adventist Academy .
Many of these students are here through your generous donations to our Financial Aid and Scholarship Funds. The assistance provided by the supporters of Ozark Adventist Academy helps lower the average cost of tuition per student by $3000.
Your donations also make it possible for us to make capital improvements and purchases that we would otherwise be unable to afford. Through your kind donations from last year’s letter writing campaign we were able to purchase an MCI bus to use in our tours and home leave transportation. We were also able to raise a sizeable amount that will go towards a new air conditioning system for our gymnasium.
As we begin to enter the Holiday seasons and approach the end of 2007, I would request that you remember Ozark Adventist Academy as a recipient for your year end tax deductible gift. Thank you for your continued support of Ozark Adventist Academy and Christian education.

Senior and Junior classes are leading the way in giving. Your

Gymnasium Heating and A/C Unit - $10,000 Goal
Throughout the year, the gymnasium is heavily used with practices for the gymnastics teams, and girls' and boys' basketball teams. Besides hosting these classes, the gymnasium is the place for intramural volleyball and basketball as well as being used to host banquets and other activities. Your generous donation to this much needed project would be greatly appreciated! |
| Ozark Annual Fund - $125,000 Goal
This unrestricted fund is used for operational expenses and campus improvements as well as providing additional Student Aid funds to critical needs students in order to allow them to continue their education at Ozark.

Search and Give to Ozark!
 Search and Give is a fundraising program that provides participating schools with a free and automatic way to raise money. The Microsoft program, supported by Scholastic Inc., is powered by Live search and allows supporters to donate to the school of their choice.
Anyone who uses www.searchandgive.com inside or outside of our school can sign up to become a supporter and start earning tickets that translate into money for Ozark. Near the end of every school year, Microsoft will convert our school's tickets to cash and send a check to Ozark.

An Open Letter from the Ozark Adventist Academy Committee of 100
We would like to educate all of the alumni and supporters of Ozark Adventist Academy about an exciting philanthropic opportunity—The Committee of 100. Committee of 100 members commit to:
- A $500 per year tax deductible donation to the Committee of 100 account.
- Actively soliciting new members for the Committee of 100.
- Playing an active roll in deciding how the pooled funds of the Committee members will be spent by attending the yearly asset allocation meeting.
Over the past four years the Committee of 100 has helped to provide funds for the following:
- Computers for the Girls Dorm and Learning Resource Center.
- Appliances for the Home Economics Department.
- Smart Board system, projector, and digital camera systems.
- Heart defibrillators in the Dorms, Ad Building, Cafeteria and Gym.
- Catering equipment and banquet serving equipment for the cafeteria.
- Purchase of an additional octave for the Handbell Choir.
- $20,000 towards completion of the gymnasium AC/Heat Unit.
There are other projects waiting to be completed with your help. If you would like to take a more active roll in both helping raise funds and deciding how funds are spent at Ozark Adventist Academy, then please join us as a member of the Committee of 100. You may make a one-time donation of $500 or breakup the donation into 12 monthly payments of $42. Please note on your check that it is for the Committee of 100. Shirley Uhrig Memorial Fund
Class of 1952
Ozark Adventist Academy mourns the loss of Shirley (Simpson) Uhrig, ’52. Shirley passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004, at a hospital near her home in Riverside, California. She is survived by her husband, John Uhrig, ’52 and many children and grandchildren. Shirley loved Ozark, was a member of the Committee of 100 and worked tirelessly to help make Ozark an even better school. To honor her commitment to Ozark, a memorial fund has been established in her honor.
