Days of Gratitude

November 20, 2025

Students in Ms. Rempart’s and Mrs. Esquer’s English classes took part in something called Days of Gratitude. Across grades 9–12, students spent time writing thank-you letters to individuals who have generously supported OAA. Each letter was a chance for our students to pause, reflect, and recognize the people who help make their school experience possible.

Chesney Prairie

November 19, 2025

Students in Mr. Krein’s Biology class took a short trip to Chesney Prairie on Wednesday. While there, they had the opportunity to observe a prescribed burn, an important conservation practice used to maintain prairie ecosystems and prevent them from becoming overgrown with forest.

Class Flag Reveal

November 19, 2025

On Wednesday, our students continued one of Ozark’s favorite traditions — the annual Class Flag Reveal! Each class, from freshmen to seniors, designed and hand-painted a queen-sized flag that represents their class's aim for the year and the values they’re committed to living.

This Week in Art

Students in Mrs. Esquer’s evening art class have been getting into the Christmas spirit in a fun way—hand-painting wooden ornaments! Each wood slice became its own little piece of holiday art. From frosty snowmen to candy canes, every ornament is completely unique and full of personality.

Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art

November 16, 2025

Students in Mrs. Esquer’s English II classes visited the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa. The museum preserves thousands of years of Jewish history, art, and culture—and the Sanditen/Kaiser Holocaust Center within it powerfully reminded our students how hate, intolerance, and indifference can lead to tragedy.

Campus Ministries in Tulsa

Skyhawks vs. Rogers Charter

October 28, 2025

A strong start to the season! The Skyhawks opened with a 53 to 40 win against Rogers Charter on Tuesday, October 28th. The Skyhawks showed great energy and effort on both ends of the court.

Life Skills

October 2025

What if you were backpacking and lost your shoe in the river? In Mrs. Esquer’s Life Skills class, students are learning to be ready for anything—from changing oil and tires to knitting and crocheting—and yes, even making shoes out of gray tape!

Water Quality Testing

October 16 & 17, 2025

On Thursday and Friday, Mr. Krein’s Earth Science students headed down to the creek to study water quality. From running physical tests to examining the critters that call the creek home, students learned how to assess the health of a water ecosystem firsthand.

National Honor Society

On Saturday night, eight students were inducted into Ozark Adventist Academy’s chapter of the National Honor Society. Membership in NHS is based on the four pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Constitution Day

Ms. Storie’s U.S. History and Government students celebrated Constitution Day—marking the signing of the U.S. Constitution. From donuts to their own signed “constitution,” it was a fun way to honor such an important document in American history!

Glimpses Inside Mr. Krein's Classroom

Students in Mr. Krein’s biology classes spent Thursday dissecting sterilized owl pellets. They discovered bones, fur, and other remains that tell the story of an owl’s diet. Hands-on science at its best.

Fall Picnic

Sunday was SA Fall Picnic! Students swapped Chromebooks for volleyballs, tennis rackets, and swimming suits—school never looked like so much fun.

Kayaking on City Lake

The Sabbath afternoon activity this week was kayaking and canoeing at City Lake. The weather was perfect! Thank you, Leo Nash, for providing the kayaks and canoes!

Scrimmage vs. NWA Hornets

September 4, 2025

OAA's Skyhawk soccer team played a scrimmage game against the NWA Hornets on Tuesday evening. The Skyhawks won 5 to 3.

Junk Scramble

August 23

Creek Walk

August 16

OAA’s Sabbath afternoon activity was a creek walk—not beside the creek, but through it! Special thanks to our lifeguards, Crystal Beierle and Mattie East, and to Ikechi, Micah, Enoch, and Olga for helping with photos and video.

Our hallways are busy again! From new faces to familiar friends, the first week back has been full of energy, laughter and smiles. Here’s a look at some snapshots from around campus as we kick off another great school year together.

Registration and Move-In Day

August 10

After all the students were registered and moved into the dormitories on Sunday, there was pizza and fresh fruit for supper, a get-acquainted handshake, and watermelon on the patio in front of the cafeteria.

Day Student Registration

August 7

Day student registration took place Thursday, Aug. 7. Registration for dorm students and any day students who still need to register will take place Sunday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We look forward to welcoming more students to campus and getting the school year off to a great start!
